Hi

5 ways to increase form completion

Making student enquiry and booking forms that are engaging and have a high completion rate can be difficult and it's frustrating to look at your form's statistics and see that it had a lot of views but only a fraction of those actually completed the form.
These five tips will help you make your forms more engaging and encourage your prospects to submit.

1. Give your form an introduction

By giving your form a short introduction (one or two sentences) you provide the student with all the information they need to complete the form. They now know why they are giving you their information and what they are going to receive in return.

2. Have friendly (and helpful) validation messages

If the student is required to give you certain information, then it's a good idea to explain why this particular detail is required. Don't just use the standard 'this field is required', that doesn't provide the student with any reasoning on why they need to give you that piece of information and it doesn't reassure them that this information will be used correctly.

3. Have a colleague complete the form

You are too close to be objective with your work of art, so when you ask someone else in your team to complete it, they will likely pick up typos or places where you need to provide further clarification.

4. Have your form reassure the student what will happen next

More students complete forms when they know what is going to happen next. So set expectations before they click submit. If you are wanting them to enquire, use the text at the bottom to let them know when they'll receive a response to their question and how you'll contact them.

5. Experiment

Create forms, set them live and see how they do. Once you have some results, quickly clone your form make some adjustments and see how this new form does. Student CRM lets you clone forms in seconds, you can then use the drag and drop builder to quickly make adjustments. Within 5 minutes you could have taken your form offline, made adjustments and have a new web form up and running.

Cloning a web form in Student CRM only requires one click:
